This can be used in dry mode and wet mode. In dry mode I found that the benefit was that you could really hear it when it was grinding away your calluses due to the hollow sound it would make. The stone head works really well, but in dry mode it generates a lot of dust. The brush side is useful for cleaning off the dust off of your feet after using the stone side. The downside to using this in dry mode is that there is a LOT of dust, so you may need to get out the vacuum to clean up when using this, and you may need to clean this while using it as the stone gets full of dust as it grinds away. Most of it falls off, but there's always some leftover. You can see the results in the pictures. A towel to wipe off any dust off of your feet would also be a good idea. It could also be used to wipe down the unit as well. In wet mode, it works much quicker and you have the benefit of being in the bath so you can use a showerhead to rinse everything off. However, depending on how much you have, you may clog the drain so it may not be a good idea either. If you use this frequently then it may be more feasible to use it when wet, but the first time I would definitely use it in dry mode to get rid of most of the loose stuff before you flush it all down the drain. If you're going to use it in wet mode, I would recommend soaking your feet for 20 minutes or so first. It'll make it go much faster when you're grinding the callus away. In either case, you're going to need a brush to scrub the stone heads clean after using this. Use this when in a seated position. You have better control and I've got to say, it works quite well. With the unit already pre-angled, it works quite well at getting at all of the calluses off my feet on the bottom and on either side. The end result is a very smooth surface on your feet. I was quite surprised how well it worked and how much old dead skin it took off. All of this without needing to bend over. The suction pad doesn't work very well on hardwood floors, but I found it handy to stand on the part of the pad which sticks out to hold it in place while the other foot was being ground down. I can't do both feet at the same time, I need my other foot to stabilize my body while I work on the other foot. The suction pad works much better in the bathtub. Assembly: - To change heads, you can use your fingers to pull the head out, or use the included pry tool which makes it much easier. The new head plugs right in very easily. Make sure to check that it's fully inserted before turning on as I noticed that the brush head was a little loose when I got it. - Included are 2 different pumice like grinding discs. One is much coarser than the other. The one pre-mounted is the finer one. - Hidden underneath the plastic tray is the rubberized suction feet pad for the callus remover for use in a bathtub or floor. I found it easiest to just push the rubber pad onto the callus remover as it was easiest to squeeze each section onto the callus remover than just putting the callus remover on top of it and pushing down. It was never going to fit that way. Usage: - Long press the power button to turn it on. - The default speed is medium (green light). - Pressing the Mode button will change speeds to high (blue light) and then low (white light). - Long press the power button to turn it off. - It has a built in 20 minute session timer, after which it will automatically shut off. Charging: - When charging the top indicator light (white) flashes. - When it's done charging, the white indicator light stays solid. - Don't forget to replace the gasket over the USB-C charging port when done as you don't want dust or water getting in. - The unit doesn't support PD charging, so all you need is a regular 5V USB charger.
